João Pedro Nicolite Rocha is a high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor known for his disciplined approach, pressure-based style, and ability to perform at the highest levels across both gi and no-gi competition.

Coming up through Brazil’s competitive circuit, João built his foundation through years of structured training and consistent competition. His game is centered around control, timing, and precision — using pressure and positioning to dictate the pace against elite opponents.

That consistency led to a standout 2023 season, when João finished as the #1-ranked brown belt heavyweight in both gi and no-gi — a rare accomplishment that showcased his versatility and dominance across both formats.

After earning his black belt, João continued his rise on the international stage, capturing a bronze medal at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship and establishing himself among the top heavyweight competitors in the division.

In 2025, he finished #1 in the IBJJF Heavyweight No-Gi Ranking, further cementing his place at the top of the division.

In 2026, João added another major title to his resume as the IBJJF American National Champion at black belt.
