Josh Guerra is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, owner and head instructor of Refuge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and leader of the Refuge BJJ Competition Team.
A lifelong competitor and coach, Josh has competed at the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, earning numerous IBJJF titles throughout his career. Recent accomplishments include 2026 IBJJF gold at the Los Angeles Winter, Indianapolis, and Chicago Spring Opens, including Open Class victories, as well as a 2025 Masters World Championship bronze medal.
As a coach and competitor, Josh is passionate about developing athletes, promoting a disciplined lifestyle, and representing the values of hard work, faith, resilience, and excellence both on and off the mats.
